A sad day

Hi all,

This is a hard entry to write as something very sad has recently happened.

This photo is of me and my fellow project manager (Toby) jumping into a crocodile infested river (not really recommended by Raleigh I hasten to add). It was taken on our last day of Phase 2 after a VERY long afternoon slogging our guts out on the project site.

On Monday, Toby, was involved in a road traffic accident and died.

He was without doubt one of the nicest, funniest, sweetest, most charismatic guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was an absolute legend and I am absolutely shocked and incredibly sad.

I had the most amazing time working with him and have some fantastic memories.

I am currently back in Kota Kinabalu for the next week so will send some proper emails very soon. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine as apparently the story appeared in a few UK newspapers yesterday and I knew one or two of you would worry.

I have had a fantastic few months and tomorrow I will update the blog with some stories and piccies from my latest adventures.
